Commission Bids

Often called Absent or Pre-bids, Commission bids are written requests to the Auctioneer to bid on someone's behalf if they cannot attend the auction in person. If you wish to bid by commission, you must fill in a Commission Bid Form and state the maximum hammer price you wish to bid on any lot. This does not mean you will necessarily pay that price - if other bids on the day do not match yours, the Auctioneer will sell the lot to you at the lowest price he can over other bids.

Important notes:

The hammer price is subject to Premium and tax charges in accordance with the Terms and Conditions
Chrystals Auctions are not bound to act upon a Commission Bid, in whole or part
Persons wishing to place Commission Bids should have or establish a credit agreement with the Auctioneer.
Commission Bids must be received at least 30 minutes before the auction commences. See Next Auction for details.
